SOIL INVESTIGATION ( SI)

GENERAL

In planning a foundation structure, required an analysis of the values of soil strength parameters as a basis of reference to be able to perform advanced analysis of bearing capacity of foundation structure which became the backbone of the end of the load on the building structure, designed foundation will basically transfer the entire combination of loading forces on the structure into the building above ground, so that in terms required an investigation of land ( in situ test) to get the parameters - the parameters used in the design of foundation strength merendanakan Geotechnical analysis and other calculations.

Cone Penetration Test ( CPT)

Cone Penetration Test is a tool Dutch cone penetrometer ( Sondir) is a tool with a conical tip angle of 60 Ã š and the tip area of 1: 54 in Â ² ( 10 cm Â ² ) . This tool is used in a way is pressed into the ground continuously with constant speed 20 mm / sec, while the amount of soil resistance to cone penetration ( qc) is also continuously measured. Of the tools that are commonly used penetrometer most have sliding sheath ( bikones) that can move to follow the cone penetrometer. So, we can read the price separately conical tip resistance and shear resistance of the land price. The sheath has a sliding surface area of about 100cm Â ² .
The purpose of the experiment CPT are:
1. know the cone penetration resistance and barriers attached to the ground.
